About the Journal
NARTAMONGÆ – The Journal of Alano-Ossetic Studies: Epic, Mythology & Language is an international academic journal founded in 2001 by the Center for Scytho-Alanic Studies of the VSC RAS in collaboration with the Centre d’Études russes et eurasiennes of the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO, Paris, France).
The journal is dedicated to the fields of Iranian and Alano-Ossetic studies, with a particular focus on epic tradition, mythology, language, history, and culture. It publishes original research by leading scholars from both Russia and abroad.
NARTAMONGÆ is the only international scholarly publication that provides a professional platform for dialogue between Iranologists and experts in Alano-Ossetic heritage.
The journal is intended for researchers in the humanities, university faculty, students, and all those interested in the legacy of the Scythian-Sarmatian and Alanic worlds.
